Tamara, from Bolzano in Italy, has lived her entire life in the mountains. From a young age she competed in ski mountaineering races winning national titles and becoming long distance world champion in 2008. She was then drawn to new challenges as an extreme mountaineer and from 2009 spent the next 13 years summiting some of the highest mountains in the world in the Himalayas and beyond. In 2014, she became only the second Italian woman in history to summit K2 without oxygen or Sherpa support. She has a passion for all things outdoors and when not mountaineering or climbing, she can be found skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, paragliding and trail running in her Dolomites mountain backyard or on some epic endurance challenge elsewhere in the world.
