The Nice Côte d'Azur is a challenging ultramarathon held in October, featuring multiple race distances: 100M, 100K, 50K, and 20K. The ability to keep fuelling may well be the determining factor of whether you complete the race or not.
“Hey I’m going back to Mirror Wall in the summer, there’s an absolute king line, let me know if your psyched to join” were the words of Sean’s message in my inbox.

After a fantastic 2022 race season we caught up with Will Kemp following his first race of 2023, the Arc 50 by Mud Crew events.
Hi Will! Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for our part 3 Q&A. This time we talk about the Arc 50 which you raced last month! A point to point winter-coastal 50 miler running from the Minnack Theatre to Porthowan in Cornwall. How did it go?
Supernatural Fuel fans Tim Pigott and Andy Morley finished first and third respectively at the prestigious Montane Summer Spine challenger earlier this year. Following the Pennine Way from Edale to Hardraw, featuring 110 miles and 17,000 feet of elevation gain, it is a seriously arduous ultra! Tim and Andy have kindly agreed to delve a little deeper into this triumphant achievement.
We caught up with our new Ambassador, Emma Stuart, on the back of her excellent Ultra Trail Snowdonia (UTS) win last month to ask her about her running background and race plans for this year. With a late entry to the sport, Emma has made a formidable impact on the ultra running scene in short order by winning many of the major ultra trail races in the UK.
The Barkley Marathons is a sporting event like no other. Staged in Frozen Head State Park, Tennessee, USA, the 100-mile sufferfest sees runners attempting to complete an ultra-marathon so tough only 17 people have reached the finish line since 1986.
Supernatural Fuel ambassadors John Kelly & Damian Hall took part in the 2023 edition of The Barkley Marathons and have kindly answered some questions so we can delve a little deeper on what has become a memorable year.
Jasmin – ‘I can only speak from my own race experience, but based on that, and the historical number of finishers, I’d say it must be amongst the toughest. It’s a combination for so many things, the ascent, the terrain, the navigation and the need to keep on top of all that constantly, for 55-60 hours.’
John – ‘Any race can be made arbitrarily tough. The aim of Barkley is to be as tough and unpredictable as possible while still possible, and it has done that amazingly well. It not only aims for about a 1% finish rate, there’s no way of predicting who those 1% will be.’
We caught up with Supernatural Fuel Ambassador, Jasmin Paris, on the back of her win on the Ultra Tour Monte Rosa (UTMR) earlier this month to ask her about her preparations for the race and the experience itself. Jasmin placed first female and was ninth overall on this tough 170 km technical route with over 11,500m ascent. It was the first major race that Jasmin had competed in following some time out to focus on her family after the birth of her second child.
